Belmont at Evansville Bradds looking really good so far./ UE is rounding out as a good club
UNC Asheville at Texas A&M should be a nice match up
Chattanooga vs. Illinois Illini looking to bounce back after a close loss.

we went up a bit on Kenpom today. Little help along the way.

Illini laid a big one. JG seems snakebit when it comes to the injury bug. looks like Frankenroster out there with walk on pg starting.

North Carolina loses AT the UNIdome
Bryant drops to 2 and 2
Buffs roll and Miami upset by Fl Atlantic
Kent won while NIU beat up on tiny Eureka (reagan's alma mater)
Norella FGCU had 34 while Evan Bradds put up 28

Toledo dropped to Loyola...surprised by that one.

TSU lost to MTSU by 3, had a chance to win but couldn't hang on late. Middle is usually decent.

I wonder what Groce's contract looks like because I got to imagine he could be on the hot seat This year if things don't pickup in a big way. Illinois not the most patient fanbase.

Uhhh Yeah..

if you read the Post game thread he would be already gone. I am always amused when a fanbase reacts.

"I'm embarassed...." Really? of what? Is your degree worth any less? Did a head coach and staff affront you personally? Do you realize how hard it is to win in the NCAA overall?

"We don't do that here"......Really? Illinois is a blueblood? Always mentioned in the same breath as UK, Kansas, NC?

It goes on and on including OHIO being a crappy college in a shit league (the MAC WEST one poster says)...

Groce is no doubt feeling the hotseat and with the injuries is powerless to change things. Multiple injuries at once, the inability to find a servicable PG to come to Champaign, playing on the road and home games Springfield because the Arena (which will be very nice and attract recruits) is not done. No AD, no Chancellor....when the new ones come that will probably be the straw...

THe rational fans are few and far between.....best are holding the line but tenuously. It's a fickle biz and even your support is funny

Yep, it sucks. You should also point out that we haven't played a "home" game yet either. Playing in front of 5,000 people in Springfield isn't a home game.

Nunn out, Tate out, Black not 100 percent, Coleman-Lands not 100 percent. The scary thing is we haven't lost a player in a couple of weeks. I almost feel like we're due for another injury.

As for Groce, I hope he stays, but if our fanbase is like this board (which I hope it isn't), then Illini fans don't want him anyway. If they get rid of him, can't wait to see who they get. I'm not sure who could overcome all the crap I mentioned above with injuries and seemingly never ending game outside of the State Farm Center that should be in the State Farm Center. Thank God that part will end soon. "
