Kaminsky, because he can actually shoot.

Drew Crabtree, because I hear his name all the time in the Convo.

After watching Simmons in the Bobcat Madness event last year, he's an obvious choice. Can't wait to watch him distribute the ball and run the offense.

Kaminsky, because like Mr. Ruck, I love watching guys who can light it up from downtown.

That said, I'm most anxious to see what all of the freshmen contribute. I've really been wanting to see what Dartis and Taylor, being Columbus area kids, can do at Ohio.

Treg Setty was my favorite last year and I don't see that changing. He's far from the most talented but he gives full effort all the time. I'm dying to see Simmons though.

Two categories: player I most like to watch (Tony Campbell) and one I'm most excited to see (Jordan Dartis).

I like Setty because of his fire. Excited to see Kaminski shoot.

TBD. But as OUVan stated, I like guys like Treg who give their all. May not be the most athletically gifted, but they leave it on the floor for their team.

Kaminsky - Cause when he starts lighting it up from outside it will spread opposing D and open up all other O options. They can't put a small G or F or him - he will shoot with ease right over them.

You're making a lot of assumptions about a kid that hasn't played his first game. Around January we might know something.

Kaminski? I thought that he led the Big 10 in 3 point shooting percentage. He should do okay, not worried about his ball playing ability.

6-8, 225, career 49.4% from 3.
6-8, 225, career 45.8% from 3.

First is Kenny Kaminski, second is Doug McDermott. I'm not inferring anything. I'm just feeling cheeky.

I am going out on a limb here and saying either Mike Laster because I feel like he's the one kid who really earned valuable minutes on a team where he normally wouldn't have. He was thrust, along with Ryan Taylor, into the starting lineup and the kid really did well athletically. I also can't want to see Gollon and Block. I have a feeling they're going to be the second-coming of T-Wilkins.

Kaminski will come closer than anyone has to scaring Jamerson's single game 3 record - 14 I believe it was. If have never seen him shoot - you have no clue how good and pure a shooter we have here.

I like Laster too. He gives Setty type energy and I believe he's more athletic. I really think he's going to make a leap this season.

To say that he will challenge Jamerson's record is absurd. He has been a good shooter in the past, but he hasn't played in a while and he must adapt to a new coach, system and teammates. Do you know what a guy has to do for a prolonged period of time to be able to earn the right to take that many shots?

Earn the right to take that many shots? Who says anyone has earned it yet? And how does the coach keep track of that?

Saul: Hey Kenny, you're only getting 4 shots tonight, no more, no less.

That sounds ridiculous just typing it. Believe me, if the guy is as good a shooter as people on here are saying he is, then even his TEAMMATES are going to want to get him the ball in space. It has nothing to do with earning shots. Shoot if you're open, pass if you're not. Simple game.

Roles are established and players know who should be taking shots. First, to compare a guy who hasn't even laced it up for us yet to Dave Jamerson is silly. Our all time leading scorer and NBA first round draft pick. For a guy to make 14 three point shots he has to take at least 25 shots. Please tell me how many of our players SINCE Jamerson have taken that many shots in a game. Your simple breakdown of " he's open and he just shoots it" is not reality. If anybody starts to consistently make shots they gradually get more looks. Nobody gets the green light right out of the gate. Maybe he will, but it's too soon to say.

Could not agree more but with the 30 second clock that's a minimum of 6 more possessions per team per game, there will be more opportunities and my guess, more shots. But to compare this guy to Jamerson is a far far reach.

Also, I wasn't aware of some of these rule changes like the elimination of the 5 second while dribbling call.

In general true, but as Bean showed last year - have shot will shoot - with little repercussion.

1. You obviously have never seen this guy shoot
2. You obviously have not either A) Talked to SP about him, his shooting, or B) Read much about what SP says about him, his shooting

The GREEN light will be on from the tip off to the game ending buzzer

With Simmons I just feel like the chatter around him sounds like that which surrounded Walt when he transferred. "Guy who only averaged two points per game at a BCS school" but can totally play. I know Kron has some solid PG's and Central is going to be tough but I see Jaaron averaging 15 points per game and eight assists. And as far as Kaminski goes, the dude was a 50 percent shooter from distance and averaged 5 ppg in the Big 10. Trust me, he's going to be tough. And Tony, Block, Gollon, Laster, Dartis...they're all going to benefit! We WILL make the NCAA this year, mark it down.

Treg is my favorite personality on the team, by quite a bit. Simmons definitely has a chance to be my favorite

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!
