I was on campus during the heyday of the Dave Jamerson/Snoopy Graham glory years, even living in the Convo Paul's senior year. I don't recall missing a home game that year, after all I had little excuse not to walk down one set of stairs to attend a free NCAA division one game. that feature two future NBA players for the home team!

my favorite memories:

5) sneaking down on the court in the middle of the night, more than a few times with coeds. I blame the Boone's Farm. to this day i have no idea why any of the ladies agreed to accompany me...I still remember the sound of our footsteps on the court floor.

4)1995 preseason MAC title, and being ranked #13 when we played at Rupp vs Kentucky. I was stupid enough to drive to Lexington from Cincy without tickets with three buddies. We couldn't believe game was sold out vs "lowly" Ohio and had to settle on watching game from nearby bar.

3. The 2005 comeback vs Florida in first Rd of NCAA tournament. I was heartbroken when CBS feed cut to other games for local market. luckily I was at a bar and tried to drown my sorrows. Then game got closer, and closer and closer. network feed was restored about 10 pets down and the place was 100% behind Bobcats last 10 minutes of game.

2. Ohio shocks Georgetown in 2010 NCAAs. I always prayed we'd win a March madness game. this game coincided with my promise to never miss a first Rd tourney game ever again.

1. MICHIGONE! yes, I was there. yes, I brought a stupid amount of rounds of drinks postgame. Yes, I smoked a cigar at an outdoor rooftop bar downtown Nashville(it had marshmallow undertones, allegedly. I couldn't tell).

I'll be at the next game we qualify to play in the NCAA tourney. I'd be thrilled if it was somewhere warm. if not, in Midwest.

I was going to games as a kid when Trent was here but I don't remember much as far as specific games. Recent games I have attended and can remember more vividly, in no particular order:

-Ohio vs Miami a few years back, Tommie Freeman with a deep three as time was expiring to beat the Redhawks

-Last year vs Buffalo at home, mainly because I doubt I ever see a buzzer-beating game-winning dunk in person again

-MAC final vs Akron in 2012, incredible atmosphere to be there when the ticket to the dance is punched in dramatic fashion

-Stevie Taylor's game winner vs Kent St after Coop fouled out. I still can't believe Stevie hit that three

-Women's tourney final in the Q this past spring, an incredible team effort to finish off a huge turnaround for the women's program, capping off the regular season with an NCAA tourney berth

-Two years ago, knocking off a red hot Toledo team at home, winning despite Juice Brown's heroics for the Rockets, Stevie Taylor's clutch 5 second call

Obviously I watched the NCAA mens games, but those are some good ones I saw in person.

No particular order:

-- DePaul OT thriller

-- Line down Richland to get into the Fiami game Trent's last year

-- Watching Robert Tatum hit the game winner against Illinois State from the College Inn

-- Georgetown

-- Michigan

-- South Florida

No particular order either-

1) DePaul game from a seat almost in the rafters
2) 1994 NIT from the first row of The Garden
3) Georgetown game via the tv
4) North Carolina game from the second row in St. Louis
5) North Carolina game from the Dean Dome after a good round of golf in February

-The entire 2004-2005 run to the NCAA Tournament. Really, that whole season.

-Seeing DJ play for the first time.

-Leon Williams' 3 vs George Mason (I think it was them?).

-The flurry of 3's against UNC and almost crying watching it.

-Going to see Gary Trent play at Kent when I was 9-10 years old. I could barely see over the guy in front of me. I just remember Trent getting a break away, and through the window of the guys arms I saw Gary hammer it down.

loved the NC game in STL, my wife's hometown. we were about 20 rows behind Alan. The first half was a bit rough but the 2nd half was magical. it was a thrill to witness the comeback and the taking of the lead, all while NC St and Kansas fans jumped on our bandwagon. 75% of the dome was bleeding green. I'd love to see that game again, my memory of final half court shot was it drew back iron. I probably remember it being closer than it actually was to going in. but IF it went in that would have the moment of this century in March Madness.

1) The 2010 MAC Title game because of all of the off-the-court turmoil the team endured that year. This is and will likely continue to be my favorite Bobcat win regardless of sport. Special mention to the Bobcatattack round table at the Clevelander that followed.

2) Watching the Georgetown win with about 200-300 alumni packed tight into the tiny Oak Tavern in Cincinnati.

3) The entire second half of the George Mason Bracket Buster. How I wish I could watch this game again somehow.

4) Leon's tip-in. And we stormed the floor!

Limiting it to games I saw in person:

Being in the as-yet unnamed Ozone for Trent's last game - a win in the NIT.

2005 MAC championship game

2010 MAC championship game

2012 MAC championship game

2015 MAC championship (women)

Can't believe this but I am spot on with OCF on this one...except for the Elite 8 team. That was a bit before my time. I'd have to throw in the tournament game vs NC instead since I was actually there for that one! Still, Rick Mount and Purdue in the Convo? Will never see that again! And, 14k for lil sis weekend (my sister was there)! A huge crowd. Dag, that round house has so many memories for so many of us!

The BG 14,000 win was for the MAC title, too.
The Indiana game same year as the Purdue one.
I would add last game in Grover, Gerald McKee hit the last shot as I recall.
Also, a midnight game between Mike Schmidt, Tommy Smith, Tony Gray and yours truly.
And a staff game where I had the pleasure of being guarded by one of my mentors, Bob Wren.
And many, many memories of players and coaches.

Also no particular order:

-OU vs BGSU at The Convo in the 96-97 season. Antonio Daniels BG lead squad beaten by OUr Bobcats.

-Tommy Freeman's 3 pointer for the win over Miami a few years back.

-OU vs Miami in 2013, to cut down the nets. The only time I've seen that in a regular season.

-OU vs Miami in the winter of '96 - my first OU - Miami game. Devin Davis hate all over the building. Ohio wins! I'm thinking that's the dribble out the clock game too?

-Gary Trent Day - nothing more needs said. Brilliant day.

-OU over Akron in 2010 and 2012 in the Tournament runs. Who can forget the dunk by Basset to cap off the W?

-The Michigone game.

-The Marshall game from 2012 when Coop was nearly untouchable, dishing 17 assists. And that no-look pass to Walt sticks in my head.

-Believe it or not, losing to UNC makes the list. I'm not sure I've been part of a more emotional game watch before or since in a bar. I may never be again.

Honestly, there are others to list I can't distinctly remember. I always enjoyed the teams that had Esterkamp, Hunter, and Adell on them. There were nights they were damn good on offense.

All in all though, my favorite memories are watching Coop, Walt, Basset, Freeman, Keely, et al when John Groce was here. Just the way we played was fun to watch. It was a real show for a lot of games out for 2-3 seasons.

DeVaughn Washington's slam against Georgetown will always stand out in my mind. I know there are plenty of other options, even more important timely plays, but it sticks with me. DeVaughn is my favorite bobcat.

Let me add one to my list that I had talked about on here a year ago, or so. The Kent State-Ohio game in Grover in the early '60s. I was still in high school. We came back from 15 down with less than five minutes to go and sent it into OT with 1 second on the clock with an out-of-bounds pass from Bill Whaley to Bunk Adams who touched it over the basket and knocked it in. In OT Ohio won by ten points.
