The athletic department is marketing our membership in the MAC like Ohio is part of a major conference instead of the old days when the self perception was that Ohio was a mid major that had to schedule up in order to legitimize its existence in Division 1. The highlight then is supposed to be the MAC schedule. I'd say its mostly true when the MAC is a next 5 conference after the ACC, Big 10, Big XII, SEC, PAC.

RE: OOC schedule, it depends on what your goals are for the team.

For them to gel on a nice road trip/tourney? Check

To get some experience/confidence with some lower-tier teams? Check

To play in front of a big crowd with a rowdy rival? Check

Get alums in other markets to come to an OOC game? Check, in Cleveland (I always like when they can schedule games in big alum markets)

Good post. We've got a young team with plenty of new faces. Let's gets some Ws under their belt before we start griping about not scheduling a full non-con slate of intriguing games.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

Interesting Ohio Dominican lists the game with Ohio as a exhibition. We list it as a real game.

FYI these went on sale this past Sunday. Looks like you can still sit front row for $22 (plus the load of fees Dan Gilbert bends you over for with his Veritix/Flash Seats empire)

Of course you're kind of picking seats blind, not knowing which sections are Ohio sections (if it matters to you), but the tickets are on sale.

I was looking to see if they were for sale the other day and couldn't find them. Where are they on sale at?

Edit: Just found them on the CSU website. Too bad we don't know the sections for Ohio. I guess I'll just do best available.

Wife and I are in 109 row 7. Good to know there are at least 2 other Bobcats in our section. I have a feeling we will have a great turn out just like the tourney.

It's times like these I'm glad I read this board. I would not have known to jump on tickets. I'm in 109, row eight.

I just went looking on Monday or Tuesday out of curiosity, and found the link on the CSU page. Turns out they went on sale Sunday apparently. Then I realized I should probably post it seeing that it wasn't really announced anywhere.

109 as the unofficial BA section, this works...

The fees on flashseats are crazy but I've gotten some great deals on there for Cavs games. I've even flipped some tickets and made a small profit after fees.

I don't know if it's because I've bought Cavs tickets or because I bought tix for a CSU game a few years ago, but I somehow ended up on the call list that The Q is using to sell CSU games. It's a little unclear right now, but I believe the Ohio bench will be in front of section 127. For Cavs games, that's the home bench (and, yes, it is still listed as the home bench in the seating chart for CSU games at The Q), but the ticket rep I talked to said CSU wants the other bench to be consistent with their games at Wolstein. I'm a little skeptical, but that's the info I was given, so we'll see.

I'm bringing my dad to the game, and it would be great to meet some Bobcat Attackers. We were originally planning to sit close to the Ohio bench, but if everyone will be in 109, I might have to reconsider our plan.

With the CSU game, anyone looking to blow the entire day may want to grab Lake Erie Monsters tickets too, as they play that evening (this is why it's a1PM tipoff)

You can get BOGO tickets here for select sections
http://www.theqarena.com/tickets/group-sales/entertainment

Wife and I will likely catch both games and hang out on 4th Street (or the casino) in between.

No problem. We're thinking the same thing (probably stay down in independence, much cheaper rooms and they don't charge to park) We've always enjoyed Monsters games, so I figured it was worth posting. This year is taking a little bit more to get into because they changed affiliations from Colorado to Columbus this past offseason and we have no idea who in the hell any of the players are yet!

The game on the 12th is a fan voted theme jersey night, and apparently Star Wars won the vote. They haven't released a ton of details yet.

When I got home from work yesterday we had a voucher for 2 free buffet meals at the casino in the mail too (not a bad perk for going there like 5 times ever and barely spending anything), so now even dinner is planned!

My night will include enjoying a few - so the downtown parking and higher rates come with that. Independence is where I usually stay - every hotel banner in the country at that I-77/Rockside Road exit.
