I will miss watching him get an offensive rebound two feet unguarded from the basket and dribbling it back out of the lane. Or dribbling in a complete circle while unguarded at the free throw line.

I suspect if you did an MRI of his knees, they'd look like a set of Jenga blocks ready to topple over.

I've always remembered Noah was on that Florida team Ohio played in the tournament back in 05. I just looked at their roster, did not realize that team also had Corey Brewer and Al Horford. Brewer and Horford are both in the NBA playoffs right now.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Not sure he even played in that game though.

You're correct.

Looking that up, I also see David Lee (currently of Golden State) was on that Florida squad.

I think Horford and Brewer were both Freshman while Noah was a Soph which helps explain that scary good 06 Florida squad.

Noah reminds me of that snotty nosed kid you went to elementary school with, who wouldn't let anyone else play with his TMNT Party Wagon but was always sure to let you know that he had one.

Quick glance at the box score and we lost that game at the foul line.

He speaks his mind, which rubs people the wrong way, but it seems he has done some good things:

Also, while his offensive game is pretty limited, he was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year last season.

Really. Dude oughta attend to his personal appearance before he criticizes Cleveland. [Hint: Ugly is not a 'style.']

And Matt Walsh also played in the NBA.

Ha! I had a few kids like that at my school too. They also had the GI Joe GI Joe USS Flagg, the newest Air Jordans etc.

The elation of that comeback against Florida was so short-lived that I never felt like I got to enjoy it in the arena. Mychal Green buries that 3-pointer and just as quickly there's David Lee's airball pass to Anthony Roberson and Sonny Troutman's pass to an invisible teammate and it was over. That's not even mentioning Fears' breakaway debacle before Green's 3-pointer.

The magic of that moment -- when the 3-pointer completes a 20-point comeback -- still stands as the most emotional for me. Watching the partisan arena all stand up and cheer in unison when the game was tied brought tears to my eyes in Nashville. That crowd of Louisville, Villanova, Georgia Tech, etc. fans became an Ohio crowd.

Good call. Also of note -- we had 20 turnovers, our bench only contributed 2 points (and 6 boards for Clay McGowan?) and starting C Al Horford was scoreless in that game.

And starter Jeff Halbert only played five minutes...always wondered about that.
