Interesting article on the details (or lack thereof) regarding the MAC's current TV deal with ESPN:

So after reading that ....do all the mac Schools get the same cut...if that is the case how does Western et al justify the $8.95 fee on top of that? That is kind of a sham that the conference is letting slide by. Seems that mny of the smaller conferences are so far ahead of us it is not even funny...it is truly just sad....and thaat is not even touching on the JGuy situation

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

This was a tweet from JArkley after talking w/JGuy about the next round of ESPN3 upgrades- "About the new ESPN3 rollouts: Wouldn't/couldn't give specifics. Expects to announce next set of schools before June 1, and it should be > 3"

Bone headed handling of transition by the MAC, allowing schools like WMU to switch to PPV was terrible. Especially when this deal is possible because of the success of November weeknight football games, something WMU only participated in a couple of times while the rest of made the sacrifices every year.

This next round of bball broadcast upgrades better include Ohio, Akron, Toledo and Kent at a minimum.

If Ohio isn't included in the next round, I suspect it will be more because of Ohio and less because of the MAC.
