MAC scoring is down 4th-least but defense is more than compensating.

Is this because the refs aren't emphasizing hand checking foul calls on the perimeter like they did early last season?

I'm afraid that these numbers will give new impetus to putting in a 24 sec. or 30 sec. shot clock, which I believe would make the college game even more sloppy and unwatchable than it is now.

I'm glad you said it, because that is the first thing I was thinking when I saw Ted's post. I've never been less interested in college hoops, and I'm not happy about it. I want to be more interested, but just don't find it particularly entertaining in its present state.
