Anyone who visits Athens and Boone will without a doubt tell you that Boone is much "larger" than Athens. Boone simply has more of everything except perhaps uptown bars. My 4 boys have been and continue to be really exceptional humans that are entertaining and a great source of love and understanding. All are so different but have a common thread of aspiration and excellence that I adore never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Having spent my entire life in the region, I refuse to use the currently politically correct soft a in Appalachian. Schooling in Bellaire ingrained the hard a. My first boss in radio (he's from Iowa) kept trying to correct my pronunciation of Appalachia. Kept insisting it was Appalayshia. I always told him it's like "I'll throw that apple at chya."
