This was posted two days ago. I am surprised I haven't seen this yet because there is some INCREDIBLE info from Saul here. Recruiting addicts like myself will enjoy. Any fan of the program will enjoy... Really, anyone who listens to this should enjoy. Saul is a character!

Yep. He had only come here once when Wisconsin played in Athens back in 01ish. (sidebar, man can you imagine Wisconsin in the Convo NOW.....)

From that trip to Athens, Saul got the "feel" for the OHIO campus. This story plays right into how many posters on this board feel... Get a recruit on campus ONCE and they will fall in love.

I've heard Saul throw around the "quintessential college" a couple times. I'm sure many have used that phrase for Ohio. I know someone on this board has a quote from Matt Lauer's commencement where he said that. Whoever "started" it, I love it. That is how I feel when I walk around campus. Recruiting here should be easy.

In this interview, Saul noted that Laster and Taylor (our two frosh) had been recruited at NDSU. This had been rumored but this was the first I heard it from Saul. Glad he was able to bring them into OHIO.

Also, recruiting... Saul "by the end of this early recruiting period, there is a good chance I will have signed 9 guys since early April"

Saul was in Athens for perhaps 24 or so hours a dozen or so years ago and he signed right quick.

Mr. Jim Schaus knows how to do the do.
