NCAA violation or not, if I am Mo'ne's dad, I would much rather her play for UConn and the coach who made an effort to call her (if she eventually gets an offer) than the anonymous whistle blower. It serves every purpose. Makes him look good, makes NCAA rules look bad, gets him in on the ground floor with Mo'ne and makes sure she remembers him. I have a hard time imagining another coach legitimately blowing the whistle on him over this. And why didn't he call the Chicago Little League team that made the finals and congratulate them? The fact that she mentioned that she wanted to play basketball at UConn makes it even worse. There is no hiding that it was a blatant recruiting call.
