As a student-athlete for four years on both the Washington University in St. Louis football and track & field teams. He was a two-year starter at tight end, earning All-Conference recognition in 2004. George's senior class finished with a 26-14 record in college, unblemished in conference play. He was also a multiple All-Conference honoree in the shot put and discus over his throwing career.
George began his coaching career at his alma mater in 2005, coaching the tight ends and H-backs for Washington University on its way to a 6-4 mark.
George previously worked at Ohio State in 2006 and 2007 campaigns, working as an Offensive Line Student Intern, assisting with off-the-field work.
A native of Russell, Ohio, George graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 with majors in physics, mathematics, and classics. George also earned a master's in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. George earned his second master's degree from Ohio State University in 2008. He lives in The Plains with his wife, Lise. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Soledad, in September 2011.
