I was unable to reserve my football season tickets this season because my wife and I are expecting our first in mid-September and the drive would be a bit much.  The season ticket office called wanting to know if I would be renewing, and I told them the situation and that I would be unable to renew.  The lady was very friendly and I let her know that I may make it to one game this year and I would contact her if I needed tickets.

Well today, I received a package from the Ohio University ticket office and I really had no idea what it could be.  It contained a hand written note congratulating us on our new miracle.  Also in the box was a shirt, a growth chart with rufus on it, foam finger, mini football for our son, and a really nice pen.  This was such a nice and unexpected gesture and has brightened both my wife's and my day.

I just wanted to share this, and if anyone from the athletic department see's this, I want to thank you for the wonderful gesture.  We will definitely be back, with one additional bobcat in tow.

That's awesome. Maybe I should have done the same but I renewed anyway.

By the way, I saw that for some reason, The Convo had to close today because of the heat but the ticket office remained open in another location.

When you do figure out what game you're coming to, let us know and the tickets will be on Bobcatattack.com and it's many posters as a gift for the new baby.  The OU ticket office has really improved the past two years.  They had a Sports Ad intern, Madelyn Robinson, last year who took things to the next level as your account manager and it appears that someone is doing the same thing this year.  World class customer service is something that we can truly deliver here at OU and in Athens.

Agree completely. The new sales team has changed the game over there. There's now a team of some 5-6 sales reps working under Drake Bolon...this was a completely new initiative started from scratch last year. The customer service I've received in interactions with anyone on the sales team has been nothing short of outstanding. And, from the crowds we've seen, they're also doing a great job on getting new fans and season ticket holders in the house.

Little things (like the scenario described above) go a long way in building a fan base. Kudos to those involved in this very thoughtful gesture.

I am out of town and only use my tickets for 2 games each year (homecoming and parents weekend).  Let me know if you would like to use my tickets. 2 tickets in Phillips Club.

Good move cracker.  EastTennessee may end up with enough tickets that if he scalped them all he could pay for his child's first year of tuition at OU in 18 years.
