Ohio names Stephens Senior Associate AD for External Operations. He was the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Licensing at Nebraska.

The Nebraska pipeline has been a good one.  This guy does look like a "good get."  Now, when are the Huskers going to star appearing on Bobcat schedules?

Don't you wonder a little about what would make a guy leave a big program to take a similar position at a smaller school? Not saying that thee aren't lots of reasons to do that, I just wonder what the main reasons are.

The local paper indicated that his position at Nebraska was a relatively lower position in that the Nebraska Athletic Department is very large, while at Ohio he would be one of the top 4 people in the Athletic Department. The article portrayed him as well respected, and as a loss for Nebraska.

I figured this was the "AD to be named later" in the Everson trade.

Um...because the new position is a promotion? Either in terms of salary OR responsibility? Especially when there isn't a near-term opportunity for internal advancement?
