The early picks are starting to come in, and thus far the consensus is that BG wins the East, and that 6 and 7 are Miami and U.Mass. in the 2-3-4 slots is it a close call, with Ohio-Akron-Buffalo being picked in various orders. In the West it is NIU and Toledo as the favorites, follwed by Ball State, with CMU-WMU-EMU at the bottom.  CMU has a chance to surprise this year, I think, with 17 returning starters.

The one area our defense has to fix is defending the run against bigger O lines.  Last year the bigger lines pretty much had their way with us.  If that isn't fixed, we could be fifth or sixth.  All but three of our MAC opponents (WMU, UMass & Fiami) have six or eight OLs who weigh 300+.
